Lake Oswego's Heritage Museum Re-Opens
"The event went really well," Nancy Niland, executive director of the Oswego Heritage Council, told Patch about the grand re-opening.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR — The Oswego Heritage Council celebrated the grand re-opening of the Oswego Heritage Museum Thursday night.
"The event went really well and it was really well attended," Nancy Niland, executive director of the Oswego Heritage Council, told Patch.
The museum will be open Monday - Friday 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Part of the museum will be a permanent exhibit on the history of Lake Oswego, while other sections will focus on different parts of Lake Oswego history. There is a section on Native Americans in the area and on the people who later settled Lake Oswego. There's a brief history on local businesses, another on schools.

The museum is complete now, but it'll be 4 to 5 months before other exhibits are introduced. It was made possible with grants from the City of Lake Oswego and Clackamas County.
First Wednesday Series
Most months through the year feature a First Wednesday event at the Oswego Heritage House. On December 7 from 2 - 8 p.m., there'll be a Oswego Heritage Holiday Gift Show featuring unique holiday wares made by local artists and delicious food and a sampling of local wines. Look out for an appearance by Santa Claus in an event that will be nice for the whole family.
Most First Wednesday events are attended by 40 - 100 people. Check out the Oswego Heritage Council's website for more information on upcoming events.
