Lakeridge High School Incident Leads To Arrest Of 2 On Gun Charge

Police say that a current student at Lakeridge High School drove a former student to the school so he could fight two other students.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR – A student at Lakeridge High School told police that he drove a former student to the school so that he could confront two other students. In the end both the student and the former student were arrested on a gun charge.

The current student – a 17-year-old whose name has not been released – was arrested soon after arriving at the school. He allowed police to search his car where they found a .380 handgun and ammunition.

Police placed the school on lockout while they searched for the former student, a 19-year-old named Sean Ivory.

Both teens face several charges including weapons charges and disorderly conduct.

Lake Oswego Schools Superintendent Michael Musick sent a a not to parents, students, and staff letting them know what had happened and asking for help.

"As with all matters of student safety, we have taken this very seriously and have acted accordingly, utilizing both school system disciplinary recourse and the juvenile justice system," Musick wrote."This is one area where I need your help.

"Please encourage your child to let a teacher or administrator know if a situation exists which could ever place them and others in danger."
