Liam Ridgewell's lawyers say that Lake Oswego Police didn't have reason to test him for alcohol.
Lawyers for Liam Ridgwell of the Portland Timbers say that Lake Oswego Police Department were wrong to test him for alcohol in October. Ridgewell was arrested for DUII when he arrived to help a teammate who had been in a crash.
Ridgewell had driven out to Lake Oswego after teammate Jake Gleason was involved in a crash. While there, police also tested Ridgewell for alcohol.
His lawyers say that they didn't have cause to do so. He hadn't been involved in or witnessed the crash.
