LOSD Youth Sports Director Will Lead Community School
Morgan Rauch, a 5-year veteran with the Lake Oswego School District, will replace Melissa Griffiths as Community School interim director.

LAKE OSWEGO, OR - From Lake Oswego School District 7J: Superintendent Michael Musick announced today that Morgan Rauch has been promoted to the position of interim director of the Community School. She replaces principal Melissa Griffiths and will begin immediately.
Rauch has been with Lake Oswego School District for five years. For the past two years, she has held the position of Director of Youth Sports, Pool Operations & Facility Scheduling.
Since 2013, Rauch has been the head varsity water polo coach for Lakeridge High School. Her sports management expertise and logistical experience will help to ensure smooth operations of the Community School as its programs are distributed throughout the District next year.

“Morgan has brought a wealth of sports and pool knowledge to Community School for the past year,” said outgoing Community School Director Melissa Griffiths. “She is prepared and ready to hit the ground running as Interim Director of Community School!”
As part of her management responsibilities, Rauch has been in charge of launching the online facilities scheduling software for the Lake Oswego School District, along with facilitating and managing personnel and programming for the Community School’s sports programs.

Rauch has been instrumental in the compilation of the more than 450-page Title IX brief, in addition to developing the Facilities Schedule tiers, and sitting on both the Gender Equity Task Force and the Athletic Facilities Advisory Task Force. She will remain the head coach for both the boy’s and girl’s Lakeridge High School water polo teams, who finished second and ninth in the state last year.
Rauch holds a Master of Science in Athletic Administration from Concordia University - Nebraska, and she holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Portland State University. She is a National Federation of State High School Associations Certified Coach, a USA Water Polo Certified Coach, and a Body Project Facilitator.
She is serving her first term on the Oregon High School Water Polo Committee and is the only female member of that board.
Her volunteer pursuits include coordinating the National Eating Disorders Association walk in Portland and serving the Junior League of Portland as a Committee Chair.
Rauch lives in Hazel Dell with her husband André and their two pets. They travel extensively, having visited 12 countries just in 2017 alone.
