Presidents Day: What's Open and Closed

Most government offices and banks are closed. TriMet buses and MAX on regular service.

Monday is Presidents Day - celebrating the birth of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. And that means a lot of things are going to be closed.

There's no regular mail delivery and post offices will be closed. Most banks will be closed though you may find a branch here or there in a store that's open.

Libraries in Multnomah and Clackamas Counties will be closed as will most branches in Washington County.

TriMet says that MAX and bus service will be on regular schedules.

Parking meters in Portland will be free except at the Zoo, in Washington Park and in Willamette Park.

The Zoo will be open as will OMSI.

And, of course, federal and state offices will be closed as will county and city offices.
