Tigard Motorcycle Officer Involved In Crash Monday Morning
Officer Kyle Spitler was taken to hospital following the collision but was released later on Monday. Tigard officials said he's doing "OK."

TIGARD, OR — Tigard motorcycle officer Kyle Spitler was struck on Pacific Highway 99W while responding to an emergency call Monday morning. Spitler was released later on Monday.
About an hour after the crash, Tigard officials said on Twitter that Spitler was doing "OK."
The crash occurred around 7 a.m. near Tigard Main Street Cleaners, in the northbound lanes of Highway 99W, just south of Southwest Greenburg Road, Tigard police spokesman Jim Wolf said.

The driver of the vehicle that struck Spitler, an eight-year veteran of the department, remained at the scene and fully cooperated with investigators, Wolf said.
Spitler was reportedly traveling north with his lights and sirens activated when the driver changed lanes, inadvertently colliding with Spitler's motorcycle. No citations were issued.
