Tualatin Shuttle Bus Crashes Into Old Haggen's Grocery Friday Morning

The crash occurred around 8:30 a.m., officials said. The driver was the shuttle's only occupant; he reportedly received minor scrapes.

TUALATIN, OR — Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue crews on Friday morning were needed to extinguish a flaming shuttle bus that crashed into an unoccupied building at the outlets on the corner of Southwest Tualatin-Sherwood and Southwest Boones Ferry roads.

According to TVF&R officials, the shuttle rammed into an overhang at 8515 S.W. Tualatin-Sherwood Rd., a building previously known as a Haggen Food & Pharmacy, around 8:30 a.m. Aug. 25 — though investigators are not entirely clear how it happened.

The shuttle was unoccupied aside from the driver, who reportedly only received minor scrapes in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The crash is currently under investigation. This post will be updated when more information is available.
