'Unveil Your Art' In Lake Oswego This August
Watch for the 15 new sculptures to appear around town before the Aug. 25 celebration at Sundeleaf Plaza in Lake Oswego.

From the Arts Council of Lake Oswego: Take a walk around town, and you will see fifteen NEW and beautiful sculptures adorning the streets in the next few weeks. These sculptures will be celebrated on August 25th at Sundeleaf Plaza in Lake Oswego with an all NEW Unveil Your Art! celebration.
New this year, the fabulous annual event moves to Saturday, August 25th and will take place from 4 - 7 p.m. Join us at Sundeleaf Plaza, located at 120 South State Street, Lake Oswego, where we will celebrate next to the water and amid two of Lake Oswego’s favorite public art pieces — Sunflowers and Wormy Apple.

Experience the unique opportunity to meet many of thisyear’s sculptors and learn about how their work goes from idea to three-dimensional sculpture.
Lake Oswego’s public art program is unique as 15 new pieces are loaned to the city each year. With the combination of both temporary and permanent pieces, over 70 public sculptures make their home in Lake Oswego.

As the permanent sculptures become beloved characters and fixtures throughout the City, the rotating sculptures allow the community to enjoy NEW artwork, processes, themes, media, styles, and outstanding talent each year.
“It’s exciting to celebrate what’s new: location, day, and time along with 15 terrific new sculptures, and new artists to the program. Right in the center of the city, we’re lauding creativity, artistic inspiration, and visual arts education — what could be a better way to spend a summer Saturday?” remarked Nicole Nathan, Executive Director for the Arts Council. “We can’t wait for everyone to see the great new workcoming to Lake Oswego!”
