When Does 365 by Whole Foods Open in Lake Oswego Open? Thursday

After months of planning, building, and getting the word out, 365 by Whole Foods is ready to make its debut Thursday morning in Lake Oswego.

It will open its doors at 9:00 a.m. at 11 S State Street - the former site of Albertsons.

The first 100 shoppers will receive gift cards ranging from $5 to $365. The first 365 shoppers will get a free reusable shopping bag.

Also - free snacks for everyone.

"Oregon is known throughout the country for an extremely creative and diverse food scene and we wanted to find partners that would be reflective of those qualities," said Jeff Turnas, president of 365 by Whole Foods Market."

"We’ve made it a point to keep an open mind during the selection process, considering anything and everything. This time it was the team in the Pacific Northwest that helped us discover friends for this new store."

So, what makes 365 different than a regular supermarket.

First, it will be smaller - but it would be wrong to just called it a stripped down version of a regular Whole Foods.

They are aiming at a younger, different audience.

So, in addition to the stuff you might expect to find in a supermarket, 365 has created a program - Friends of 365 - in which other businesses will open up branches within the store.

In Lake Oswego, those partners will include Next Level Burger and Canteen.

As for what you will find in the store - it's a more curated selection. Instead of tens of thousands of different products, 365 has about 7,000.

And with the restaurants, shoppers will find a seating area with free wifi.

The Lake Oswego location is the second for 365 by Whole Foods Market.

The first one opened in May in Los Angeles.

A third is planned for Bellevue, Washington in the fall.
