Child Porn Lands Milwaukie Man In Federal Court: Sheriff

MILWAUKIE, OR — For allegedly possessing an inordinate number of sexually explicit videos and images depicting children, a 24-year-old Milwaukie man was arrested Tuesday. On Wednesday, he made his first federal court appearance and has since been lodged at Multnomah County Jail to await trial.

Nicholas James Stacy, 24, is charged with possession and transportation of child pornography — federal crimes. Based on information about his online activities gathered by Google and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, Stacy is accused of possessing more than 9,000 videos and 20,000 pictures of child porn on his iPhone; authorities also reportedly believe Stacy uploaded at least 94 files containing child porn to his Gmail account.

Clackamas County Sheriff's deputies, working alongside Homeland Security, arrested Stacy around 1 p.m. Sept. 11.

According to sheriff's officials, there is reason to believe Stacy has impersonated various law enforcement officers several times for the purpose of sexually exploiting minors. While Stacy's alleged victims may not know his name, sheriff's officials believe they'd recognize his face.
