Commercial Dungeness Crab Season In Oregon Delayed Once Again
The commercial Dungeness crab season was supposted to start on December 1. It's now delayed at least until the end of the year.

NEWPORT, OR – More bad news for Oregon's commercial Dungeness crab industry. The start of the season has been delayed one more time.
The Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife says that the delay will last until at least December 31st.
It was supposed to start on December 1.

The state says the reason for the delay is that crabs that they have tested don't have enough meat on them to meet the criteria for opening the season.

Officials hope that the extra time will allow the crabs to get large enough for the season to begin.
