OREGON CITY, OR — A drunk driver was reportedly arrested Tuesday night following a fatal car crash just outside Oregon City, sheriff's officials announced Wednesday morning. The identity of the deceased driver is pending family notification.
Douglas Michael McCann, 20, was taken to Clackamas County Jail and charged with manslaughter, driving under the influence of intoxicants, criminal mischief, reckless driving, and reckless endangering. His bail is set at $277,500.
Clackamas County deputies were dispatched just after 11 p.m. Sept. 11 to a reported car crash at the intersection of South Beavercreek and South Henrici roads, about 1 mile southeast of Oregon City High School.

At the scene the first responding deputy found two cars, one of which was fully engulfed in fire.
One of the drivers was pulled from their vehicle and given CPR until medical responders arrived. Despite the deputy's best efforts, however, the driver did not survive their injuries, sheriff's officials said.

It does not appear as though the other driver, McCann, was injured at all.
McCann, an Oregon City resident, does not have a criminal history in the state, though court records do show a citation issued in Yamhill County for driving uninsured this past May.
As the investigation continues, sheriff's officials ask for anyone who may have seen McCann on Sept. 11 to call Clackamas County's tip line at 503-723-4949, or submit a tip online.
