Milwaukie Hale's Closes After Fire
The blaze was spotted by a Clackamas County deputy around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday. The cause is still under investigation.

MILWAUKIE, OR — An early morning fire at Hale's Restaurant & Lounge in Milwaukie forced the restaurant to close Tuesday, with smoke damage reported in the dining area and fire damage in the kitchen and rear of the building.
A Clackamas County Sheriff's deputy patrolling the area just before 2:30 a.m. March 13 reportedly saw smoke coming the backside and roof of the restaurant at 17502 S.E. McLoughlin Blvd. and called in Clackamas Fire District #1 to assist.
Firefighters were able to get the blaze under control just before 3 a.m. and determined it started in a kitchen storage room. How the fire start, however, remains under investigation, fire authorities said.

There's no word when the 23-year-old building will reopen, but those looking to satisfy their Hale's craving can visit the Hillsboro location on Tualatin Valley Highway in the meantime.
