Oregon City Patch's Holiday Fun Guide
An Oregon City High School production of 'Miracle on 34th Street,' a snowflake raffle and Santa Paws 2016 rule the season.

OREGON CITY, OR — There are more than a few ways to get in the holiday spirit in Oregon City this year. Downtown Oregon City's Snowflake Raffle makes holiday shopping fun with a contest to win money while you're buying gifts for everyone on your list. Do you know someone who might want a puppy? You can give the gift of a dog at Santa Paws 2016. Maybe you just want to sit back and enjoy a holiday show? The Oregon City High School Drama Department has you covered with four performances of Miracle on 34th Street. Check out the full list of Oregon City holiday events below.
- The Christmas Fantasy Trail on South Ridge Road is a regular feature of the holidays in Oregon City. Take a Christmas walk through the woods, decorated with thousands of holiday lights. There's a 40-foot castle with Christmas scenes, a tunnel, maze, crooked house and suspension bridge. You can also forward to a bonfire every night. The Christmas Fantasy Trail is open Dec. 2 - 30, Monday - Saturday, but it will be closed on Dec. 24 and 25.
- The Oregon City Tree Lighting Ceremony kicks off on Dec. 3 at 4:30 p.m. with performances and a holiday carol sing-a-long with the Clackamas Community College Choir and the Oregon City High School choir. Look for Santa to arrive around 5 p.m. and there will be plenty of refreshments. Kids will have an chance to sit with Santa Claus for a photo as well.
- The 3rd Annual Oregon City Snowflake Raffle is a citywide shopping event and sweepstakes that runs from November through Dec. 16. It's easy to join in: You make purchases at participating businesses and receive a ticket. You just send a text with the ticket information and you're entered in the contest. There's no limit to how many times you can be entered in the contest. The grand prize is $1,000 and there are weekly prizes of $250, which can come in handy while you're holiday shopping.

- Santa Paws 2016 is a fun event in downtown Oregon City where your dog can take a picture with Santa or have their paw prints captured on canvas. There will be drinks from Coffee Rush and snacks from Don Pepe's with all proceeds going to the Family Dogs New Life Shelter. There will also be dogs up for adoption at the event.
- The Oregon City High School Drama Department is putting on a production of Miracle on 34th Street Dec. 7, 8, 9 and 10 at 7:30 p.m. The Drama Department has been posting great updates on their Facebook page. Follow them to find out more as they prepare for the show.
