Tonya Harding Biopic Moves Forward With Margot Robbie Says Report
Miramax will distribute the film in 2018.

It's been 22 years since Tonya Harding dominated headlines in the run-up to the Winter Olympics, being implicated in the attack on rival Nancy Kerrigan. But she's never been far from the collective consciousness - especially here in Oregon.
Now - the story of the bad girl figure skater who used to practice at Clackamas Town Center is going to be a movie starring Margot Robbie.
Deadline reports that I, Tonya will peel back the layers of her "sensationalized involvement in the 1994 attack on rival figure skater Nancy Kerrigan, exposing the absurd, tragic and hilarious story-behind-the-story of one of the most infamous scandals in the history of Olympic Games figure skating."

Robbie, who starred as Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad and with Tina Fey in Whiskey Tango Foxtrot, will play Harding.
"The script is unbelievable, it's unlike anything I've read before," Deadline quotes Robbie as saying.
