Willamette Falls Access Project Gets Another Backer

A plan to open up access to the area around Willamette Falls received another backer this week.

Metro voted to work with Oregon City, Clackamas County, and the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department in getting Riverwalk built.

While details of what the project will look like are still being determined, $25 million has been allocated for the first phase.

Metro will oversee the design efforts and contribute staff time. Oregon City, Clackamas County, and the Parks and Recreation Department will also contribute staff to the efforts.
