Moments before the fatal collision, 23-year-old Clackamas resident Jose Castilla-Castilla had stopped in the westbound lane on McKay Road NE to make a left turn into a field, investigators said. Stopped directly behind Castilla-Castilla were Wall, Shennan, and Albers.
A Ford F-350 Super Duty pickup that was also heading west did not stop and reportedly barreled into the rear of Wall's vehicle, which in turn pushed forward to hit Castilla-Castilla.
