Wilsonville Bank Robber Used Ride-Share Service To Get Away, Police Say
The unwitting ride-share driver picked up the alleged bank robber in downtown Portland before taking him to the Umpqua Bank in Wilsonville.

WILSONVILLE, OR — The driver of a ride-share service unwittingly became a bank robbery getaway driver Wednesday afternoon, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office.
The driver has not been identified nor has the specific ride-share service, but police say the robbery suspect — now dubbed the "Ride-Share Bandit" — was picked up in downtown Portland and driven to the Umpqua Bank in North Wilsonville, which he subsequently robbed.
The robbery suspect is a black adult male thought to be in his 30s or 40s. He is about 6 feet tall with a thin build, police said. At the time of the robbery and getaway he was reportedly wearing an Adidas track suit and dark sunglasses.
