Clackamas Community College, Wilsonville to Host Roundtable Discussion on Workforce Solutions

The free event will give local business owners a chance to learn new strategies for recruiting, training, and coaching.

WILSONVILLE, OR — Expanding on its continued efforts to promote local hiring and workforce training, Clackamas Community College will soon partner with the City of Wilsonville to connect area businesses with locally available workforce resources.

To kick off this partnership, Clackamas Community College officials are hosting a free Business and Workforce Solutions Roundtable breakfast discussion at the college's Wilsonville campus –– 29353 S.W. Town Center Loop East, in room W108B –– from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. Wednesday, May 10.

"When meeting with local employers and learning about their key challenges to success, workforce issues are consistently on the top of the list," Jordan Vance, economic development manager for the city, said in a statement. "Many Wilsonville employers don't realize the robust workforce resources that exist in their backyard, offered by Clackamas Community College and others. We are very excited to help remove barriers to growth for local employers through some of these resources."

Discussion topics will include recruiting, leadership coaching, and customized employee training, according to city spokesman Jon Gail.

"Clackamas Community College's Connections with Business and Industry (CBI) team makes it easy to get expert assistance to start or expand your business, or to help you navigate challenges such as downsizing or dealing with market changes," said CBI Executive Director Lisa Davidson. "CBI is a one-stop business support network, and we can connect you with the tools, staffing, training and resources you need to prosper. We are here to help you grow and succeed."
