French Prairie Bridge Project Meeting #3 Next Month

The 21-member project task force will meet at city hall April 12 to publicly discuss and evaluate three bridge location alternatives.

From the City of Wilsonville: Project Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) members have completed their scoring of the three bridge location alternatives based upon their expertise.

Their scoring results can be found at the TAC Bridge Location Evaluation & Scoring link.

The 21-member Project Task Force will meet April 12 at 6 p.m. to consider the TAC bridge evaluation and scoring. If members agree, the Task Force may make deviations from the Technical Advisory Committee's scoring. Both sets are expected to be presented to city council in May.

Interested community members are welcome to attend and listen to Task Force deliberation. A time for public comment is included on the agenda.

Focus of the Study

The French Prairie Bridge Project aims to address the following questions:

  • Where are the preferred landing points for the bridge?
  • What is the preferred bridge type?
  • What is the estimated cost of the preferred bridge and how might its construction be funded?

Members will reconvene in the Fall to help host a community open house on bridge types. From those meetings, two bridge options will be selected.

After further consideration by the technical and community advisory committees, the Task Force will recommend a final bridge type to the City Council.
