'Froggy Robber' Strikes Again In Oregon

The serial bank robber prompted a school lockdown Tuesday in Scappoose​.

OREGON -- A man suspected in numerous robberies around the state reportedly targeted a bank in Scappoose on Tuesday morning, prompting a school lockdown.

Authorities said the suspect, dubbed Froggy Robber, robbed the US Bank at 52313 Columbia River Highway around 9:44 a.m. He reportedly jumped the teller counter, threatened the bank employees with a knife then fled on foot with cash. The incident prompted a lockdown at the nearby Scappoose Middle School.

  • Wells Fargo Bank in Beaverton on Jan. 11
  • Wells Fargo Bank in Wilsonville on Dec. 27
  • Albina Community Bank in Portland on Nov. 27
  • Columbia Bank in Canby on Oct. 19

The man is described as Hispanic, about 5'3" to 5'5", 150 to 160 pounds and between the ages of 20 to 30.

The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of this suspect.
