According to the McMinnville Police Department, officers were dispatched to the home invasion robbery in the 1600-block of Northwest Second Street in McMinnville just before 12 a.m.

The residents in the home at the time of the alleged robbery told officers two masked men forced their way in through the front door, went into a resident's bedroom and stole unspecified items. One of the men, witnesses said, had a knife.

After the robbery, both men reportedly fled out the front door and ran away in opposite directions.

Newberg police dispatched a K9 team to help McMinnville officers track the suspects, police officials said. After the K9s reportedly found some evidence from the robbery, officers were told a man matching the description of one of the suspects was seen entering a nearby apartment.

The officers were allowed to search the apartment and quickly found evidence related to the robbery, such as clothing matching the suspects' descriptions as well as stolen property, before also locating Gibby and identifying him as one of the suspects.

When he was interviewed, Gibby reportedly told officers he was one of the masked men involved.

Additionally, officers reportedly learned Rocha was the other suspect, and that both men and their victims knew each other. The victims, however, will not be identified, police said.
