$11,000 Cash, Drugs Seized; Newberg Man Arrested By Narcotics Team
Yamhill County officials said Joshua Stoulil was in possession of more than a quarter-pound of heroin and some methamphetamine.

NEWBERG, OR — Yamhill County law enforcement on Wednesday arrested a Newberg man who was allegedly in possession of more than a quarter-pound of heroin, a "small amount" of methamphetamine, and over $11,000 in cash.
Joshua Thomas Stoulil, 27, was booked at the Yamhill County Correctional Facility on charges of delivery and possession of heroin and possession of meth. He is being held on $500,000 bail.

Stoulil's June 14 arrest stemmed from the execution of a May 27 warrant, which allowed the Yamhill County Interagency Narcotics Team (YCINT) to gain access to Stoulil's apartment at 315 N. Meridian St., near George Fox University: Newberg Campus. The drugs for which Stoulil was charged with having in his possession came from that search effort, which included the assistance of the Yamhill County Sheriff's Office and the Newberg-Dundee Police Department.

"The current epidemic of heroin and other opiates needs to be at the forefront of our narcotics investigations," YCINT Board Chairman Sheriff Tim Svenson said in a statement. "We cannot let these drugs continue to gain footholds in our communities and infiltrate our youth. We will continue to support our interagency model and work together to reduce its availability."
