New Reports Suggest Liquor Could be Coming to WIlsonville's Costco
Ambiguity in release from Oregon Liquor Control Commission leads to speculation.

When the Oregon Liquor Control Commission announced 14 new locations across the state that will receive liquor licenses, reporters at the Statesman-Journal got curious about one:
8697 SW Jack Burns Avenue in Wilsonville.
The Statesman-Journal reports that "a drive by the 8697 SW Jack Burns Ave. address turned up only a small spot of land between a Burger King and Cafe Yummy" adding that there are a Target and Costco nearby.

The paper reports that while the manager of the Costco said if liquor is coming to his store, he's not aware of it, shoppers like the idea.
The OLCC has made liquor sale expansion a priority.

"Selecting these 14 retail locations is a step forward in our effort to increase store density while offering new and innovative market-driven business models where customers can purchase spirits in Oregon," said OLCC Chair, Rob Partridge.
Currently there is one liquor store for every 25,000 customers in the Portland metro area, according to the OLCC. The additional 14 stores will bring that down to one store for every 21,000 customers.
