Oregon Wine: Another Sale to California's Jackson Family Wines
California company expands their presence in Oregon, purchasing Penner-Ash Wine Cellars.

Another Oregon winery has been snatched up by a California company.
Jackson Family Wines, which already owns five Oregon wineries covering more than 1,300 acres, is buying Penner-Ash Wine Cellars..
"Our friends know that we are passionately committed to the local community. We see that same commitment in Jackson Family Wines - not only in California but here in Oregon, as well. That was very important to Lynn and me," said Ron Penner-Ash.

Penner-Ash and his wife, Lynn, started the winery in 1998 and have seen the company grow from 125 cases their first year to nearly 20,000 last year.
Jackson Family Wines, best known popularly for their Kendall-Jackson Wines, has been expanding their presence in Oregon since 2013. They already own Zena Crown Vineyard, Siduri Wines, and Gran Moraine Vineyards, among others.

Last December they purchased the former corporate headquarters of evergreen International Airlines in McMinnville.
They plan to turn those two 25,000 square-foot buildings into a winery expected to open next year.
