Snow Delays Wilsonville Garbage Pickup
Republic Services on Wednesday pushed back daily pickup services by one day for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
WILSONVILLE, OR — The snow and ice on Wilsonville's roads Wednesday morning led the Republic Services of Washington and Clackamas counties to delay its garbage service. Trash collection scheduled for Feb. 21 has been pushed back one day, Wilsonville spokesman Mark Ottenad said in a city announcement.
The one-day move Wednesday will have a ripple effect for the remainder of the week, Ottenad explained.
"Republic Services is moving this week’s solid-waste and recycling collection schedule to the holiday pick-up schedule in which Wednesday’s pick-up happens on Thursday, Thursday’s pick-up is now set for Friday, and Friday’s collection occurs on Saturday," he said. "Republic Services also plans to call affected customers about the schedule change."
