SHERWOOD, OR — A hit-and-run outside Sherwood on Monday afternoon sent a 17-year-old bicyclist to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries; now Washington County Sheriff's officials are searching for the suspect involved and they've asked the community for help.
The crash occurred around 4:15 p.m. Aug. 21 in the 18400-block of Southwest Brookman Road, east of Highway 99w and Southwest of Sherwood proper, deputies said.
According to witnesses, a brown or tan pickup truck — possibly a 1990s model of Chevrolet or Ford — with a multi-colored tailgate and silver rear bumper hit the 17-year-old male rider and then fled the area.
