Tip-A-Cop For Special Olympics At Black Bear Diner Thursday
Clackamas County Sheriff's Office will partner with Black Bear Diner in Wilsonville this week for a charity benefitting Special Olympics.

WILSONVILLE, OR — The Clackamas County Sheriff's Office will be at Black Bear Diner in Wilsonville this week to help raise money for Special Olympics Oregon. Promoted as a special "Tip-a-Cop" event, CCSO personnel will work alongside Black Bear Diner staff for two shifts this Thursday.
The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Oct. 4 at 30175 S.W. Parkway Ave. in Wilsonville. According to Black Bear Assistant Manager Samantha Gonzalez, the participating sheriff's office staff will partner with the diner's servers and hosts to help seat guests, take orders, and carry out meals — while also soliciting for donations to benefit Special Olympics Oregon.
"I think it's just to help out and give back to the community," Gonzalez told Patch, noting this is the first Tip-a-Cop event hosted at the Wilsonville Black Bear location.
