Wilsonville School Numbers Released: See How Your School Did

WILSONVILLE, OR – It's not the report cards that most people were waiting for but scores of them became available The Oregon Department of Education made the report cards for every school and school district across the state available late Wednesday afternoon.

Oregon Kate Brown ordered the numbers released.

"I directed the Department of Education today to release the data they have regarding annual performance measures in our schools," Brown said. "We should all remember that at the end of the day, this data is not about an election or politics.

"It's about improving our schools. My top priority as Governor is to give Oregon's students the tools they need to succeed."

Until Brown gave the order, even though the state has had the numbers since Oct. 4 and had planned to release them this week, the numbers were not going to be released until after the election.

Schools chief Colt Gill, a political appointee, had made the announcement earlier, saying that the reason was because the state wanted to give some of Oregon's poorer performing schools more of a chance to prepare.

Gill had also said the state needed more time to prepare a website tied to the release.
