Xerox To Layoff 100 Employees; 'Wilsonville Campus Will Be Impacted,' Officials Say
The layoffs are part of the company's push to reduce operating costs and will mostly affect employees in Rochester, New York.

WILSONVILLE, OR — On the same day Amazon announced its plan to create 3,500 full-time jobs in Oregon, Xerox announced its plan to layoff roughly 100 employees across three states, including Oregon. Employees at Xerox's Wilsonville campus will join those in Lewisville, Texas, and Rochester and Webster, New York, as the company strategizes how the layoffs will be implemented.
Xerox spokesman Bill McKee said that while a majority of the layoffs will occur in New York, the Wilsonville campus will be "impacted"; McKee added that he could not specify how many layoffs would affect Oregon employees.
The layoffs, McKee told Patch on Tuesday, are part of the company's three-year journey of "strategic transformation," which includes reducing operating costs to deliver a target $600 million of gross savings in 2017 as well as providing bolstered support for its new printing technologies.
