ACROSS PENNSYLVANIA — A federal judge on Saturday tossed out a Trump campaign lawsuit that sought to stop Pennsylvania from certifying its election results.

The suit was mentioned earlier this week by Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani, who during a wild, tangent-filled news conference, laid out the campaign's multiple lawsuits alleging widespread voter fraud. The 90-minute briefing was filled with falsehoods and baseless conspiracy theories.

The case was tossed by U.S. District Court Judge Matthew Brann, who said it was both legally flawed and lacking in evidence, according to a report by Politico.

“In the United States of America, this cannot justify the disenfranchisement of a single voter, let alone all the voters of its sixth most populated state," Brann said in his opinion. "Our people, laws, and institutions demand more.”

An amended filing pertaining to the case was submitted in federal court on Thursday. It specified that the Trump campaign was only seeking to stop the certification of presidential election results, not any other race on the ballot in the state.

The suit was the latest in a chaotic series of alterations and shakeups in legal representation which have defined the president's attempts to reverse his defeat to President-elect Joe Biden.

Prior to the judge's decision, Pennsylvania officials on Friday reiterated that the claims in the suit were baseless.

"Trump + his enablers have no legal basis for their frivolous, bizarre lawsuits," Attorney General Josh Shapiro wrote on Twitter Friday morning. "They are wasting everyone's time. But as long as they keep it up, we'll keep beating them in court."
