More Severe Storms In Forecast For Eastern PA Friday
There is another chance of thunderstorms Friday night, with some of those storms capable of producing small hail. Here's the latest:
EASTERN PENNSYLVANIA — More storms threaten the Philadelphia region even as Tropical Storm Elsa has moved through. There is another chance of showers and thunderstorms Friday night, with some of those storms capable of producing small hail, the National Weather Service said.
Through the weekend, there will be a chance of thunderstorms each day. That threat continues daily through at least Wednesday, the National Weather Service said.
Meanwhile, the region is cleaning up from the tropical storm that caused lightning, heavy rain, flooding and even possible tornadoes at the Jersey Shore. Numerous power outages were reported, and local police dealt with downed trees and wires.

A team from the National Weather Service is investigating possible tornadoes in three New Jersey communities, Action News reported. The impacts from the storm have also closed four New Jersey beaches.
Rainfall totals from the tropical storm were between 1 and 3 inches in the region. You can see the local totals here.

The storm prompted a flash flood watch across the Philadelphia region through Friday morning. Several tornado warnings were issued in New Jersey and Delaware overnight.
All Tropical Storm Warnings were canceled Friday.

Friday night: Showers and thunderstorms likely before midnight, then a slight chance of showers between midnight and 1 a.m. Some of the storms could produce small hail and gusty winds. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
