PA Nor'easter Updates: Latest Timing, Snow Totals, Storm Impacts
Here's how much longer the storm will last, and how much snow you can expect in Eastern Pennsylvania:
PHILADELPHIA, PA — A Nor'easter storm has dropped as more than a foot of snow in some parts of the Philadelphia suburbs, and more heavy snow is expected throughout the day Monday.
"Additional significant snowfall is expected to develop today, with the heaviest amounts favored over eastern Pennsylvania and central and northern New Jersey," the National Weather Service said in a storm briefing issued Monday morning. Forecasters estimate up to 9 more inches could fall during the day Monday. See the current town-by-town snow totals here.
Forecasters said there is "some uncertainty" in the snowfall forecast because it's not exactly clear where the band of heavy snow will develop. Snowfall rates could exceed 1 inch per hour in the heaviest areas.

The storm will also bring strong winds, especially near the coast. Gusts could reach 40 to 50 mph.
"The strongest winds are expected today, resulting in hazardous boating conditions and potential power outages. Inland, gusts could reach 35 to 45 mph, resulting in reduced visibility and very hazardous travel in blowing and drifting snow, and isolated power outages," the weather service said in its latest briefing.
