PA Woman Filmed Assault On Photojournalist In Capitol Riot: FBI
Authorities say the Pennsylvania woman fimed and encouraged the assault of a New York Times photographer during the Jan. 6 Capitol breach.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — A Pennsylvania woman has been charged with entering the U.S. Capitol building on Jan. 6. Sandy Pomeroy Weyer, of Mechanicsburg, is also accused of filming and encouraging the assault of a photographer for The New York Times during the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol.
According to a criminal affidavit, Weyer used her cellphone to film an assault on the photographer near the East Rotunda entrance. The video was posted on Facebook Live before being taken down.
Investigators were able to obtain access to several lengthy videos that were live-streamed by Weyer. She also had a text exchange with another Facebook user, which included the following conversation:

- Text to Sandy Pomeroy Weyer from User W.D.: “Hope u guys had nothing to do with the
- riots they were all hoodlums And traitors”
- User Sandy Pomeroy Weyer response to User W.D.: “I seen no riots. I saw Patriots sick
- of being lied to and the election being stolen from us! I saw no violence from the
- Patriots!”
- User Sandy Pomeroy Weyer to another user: “I did what needed to be done! I’m happy.”
In another video recorded from outside the Capitol, Weyer joins the crowd in saying "LET US IN" and states that the crowd is trying to "break the f—king doors down."
In the video she filmed of the assault on the media photographer, Weyer can be heard yelling, "F—king traitor, get the f—k out" while the photographer continues to descend a stairwell and attempts to grab her backpack from her assailants.

Weyer has been charged with knowingly entering a restricted building, disrupting the orderly conduct of government business, disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds, and impeding Congress.
Her arrest came after a tipster sent the FBI screenshots of Weyer's Facebook posts and videos.
