The polls have closed in Pennsylvania and we are tracking results from several races statewide, including the presidential contest.

PENNSYLVANIA — We are tracking election results from several races statewide, including the hotly contested presidential race between incumbent Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden.

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION

It's no secret that Pennsylvania is a coveted battleground state. Both candidates made multiple stops here in the weeks leading up to the campaign, including four events by Trump on Saturday alone.

Trump was the first Republican presidential candidate to win Pennsylvania since George H.W. Bush in 1988. But Trump's margin of victory over Hillary Clinton was narrow. More than six million votes were cast in Pennsylvania and Trump won by 44,000 — or less than one percent.

Democratic incumbent Josh Shapiro faces Republican challenger Heather Heidelbaugh in the race for Attorney General.

A former Montgomery County commissioner, Shapiro, 47, was elected to the state House before being elected before being elected attorney general in 2016, He has never previously served as a prosecutor, but he was a member of the state bar and worked with the law firm Stradley Ronon.

Heidelbaugh's work in law and policy led to her appointment to the Governor's Commission on Judicial Appointments in 1998. Two decades later, she became the chair of the state advisory commission on selection of a U.S. Attorney, United States Marshall, and federal judiciary.

CONGRESSIONAL

We are following several congressional races:

  • Incumbent Republican Brian Fitzpatrick faces Democratic challenger Christina Finello in the race for the 1st District. MORE.
  • Incumbent Democrat Brendan Boyle is facing Republican David Torres in the race for the 2nd District. MORE.
  • Democratic Rep. Dwight Evans faces Republican Michael Harvey in the race for the 3rd District. MORE.
  • Incumbent Democrat Rep. Madeleine Dean faces Republican businesswoman Kathy Barnette in the race for the 4th District. MORE.
  • Democrat incumbent Mary Gay Scanlon is looking to keep her seat in Washington as Republican Dasha Pruett challenges her for the 5th District. MORE.
  • Incumbent Chrissy Houlahan and Republican John Emmons compete for the state's 6th U.S. House District, with an Independent challenger. MORE.
  • Democratic U.S. Rep. Conor Lamb faces Republican Sean Parnell for the 17th Congressional District seat. MORE.
