See Which PA Companies Got The Most Federal Coronavirus Money
The federal government has sent more than $509M to companies in Pennsylvania for coronavirus relief efforts. See who got the most:
PENNSYLVANIA -- The federal government has sent more than $509 million to companies in Pennsylvania for coronavirus relief efforts since Congress passed the CARES Act in March.
More than 30 companies got contracts exceeding $1 million, including some of the best-known corporate names in Pennsylvania, according to the Federal Procurement Data System.
The list includes contracts to Rite Aid, AmerisourceBergen, Feeding Pennsylvania, Draeger, and more. But the list includes payments as small as a few hundred dollars for small businesses from hardware stores to pipe suppliers, and vacuum parts companies.

Congress passed the $2 trillion Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act on March 27. In addition to direct aid to people who lost their jobs and the Paycheck Protection Program to help small businesses avoid laying off workers, the act included direct government spending for fighting the coronavirus.
