HARRISBURG, PA — Gov. Tom Wolf and Secretary of State Kathy Boockvar discussed the election during a 10:30 a.m. news conference at GIANT Exposition Hall in Harrisburg.

The news conference came as 1.4 million mail-in ballots remain to be counted in the state. See the counties that currently have the highest number of outstanding mail-in ballots.

"We may not know the results even today, but the most important thing is that we have accurate results," Wolf said. "We have to be patient. Votes will be counted accurately and they will be counted fully."

Those votes in largely Democratic strongholds likely will determine whether Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden can top President Donald Trump and claim Pennsylvania's 20 electoral college votes.

Trump has 3,056,879 votes to Biden's 2,585,255 as of 12:35 p.m., according to the Associated Press.
