Lower Gwynedd Township Police said a thief went out of his or her way to steal $10 from a coat that was taken from an unlocked car, and then ditched the coat in a backyard.
A resident of the 700 block of Meadowcreek Circle told police that the coat was taken from his 2013 BMW SUV that was parked overnight Nov. 15 in his driveway, police said.
The coat was later found in the resident's backyard the next day, police said.
