'50 Shades Of Maple Glen' Agent Speaks After Listing Goes Viral

"I've been hearing from people all over the world," the listing agent for the sex estate said on Tuesday.

MAPLE GLEN, PA — The fallout continues this week days after a Montgomery County real estate listing was published advertising a "private adult sexual oasis," which is located, of course, in the basement.

The listing agent for the home, Melissa Leonard with Coldwell Banker, told Patch that the home with the sex dungeon on Norristown Road in Maple Glen, just down the road from downtown Ambler, has drawn international attention.

"I have been hearing from people all over the world," she said Tuesday. "So it truly went viral."

The home is not without controversy, as some in the neighborhood are unhappy with what's been going on under their noses.

"The 2 neighbors are still upset from what I’m hearing," she added, noting that many showings have already been set up. "But I am trying to sell it as soon as possible."

While holding a recent phone interview with Slate, Leonard was accosted as she drove up to the home by neighbors.

"We do not want something like this in our neighborhood," the man's voice reportedly said. "Take that off the internet. That’s disgusting. We don’t want that."

Leonard said that situation eventually calmed when she explained she was just trying to sell the house as quickly as she could.

As for the finished dungeon including sex swings, a whip, a flair, and more, the owner reportedly wanted to keep it as it was when selling because he the business he gets from it on Airbnb. She recounted the conversation to Slate:

"I called him [the owner] and I’m like, “You’ve got this whole little sexual oasis.” So then I went over and looked at the house. I had a straight face. I said, 'I can sell this. We can sell this.' And here we are! We’re on TV, magazines are calling..."

Shortly after the listing was posted, the photos of the sex basement and the language describing it in the listing began to dissapear from various listing sites: Redfin, Zillow, Realtor.com. But it was not the individual sites that chose to remove or not remove the photos. Rather, all of those sites draw their information from BrightMLS, a listing service, and update with different speeds. Once the photos were taken off BrightMLS, they began to dissapear elsewhere.

Photos of the dungeon are preserved over at BuzzFeed.

The five bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home sits on an acre of land in the Upper Dublin School District. It's for sale for $750,000.
