Ambler Man Avoids Prosecution on Assault on Unborn Child Charge
James Lynch, 29, of Railroad Avenue, allegedly threatened to cut a baby out of his three-month pregnant ex-girlfriend after assaulting her in her Upper Darby home last year.

An Ambler man who was charged with assault on an unborn child for allegedly threatening to cut the baby out of his pregnant girlfriend is heading to prison for  nine to 23 months on a felony criminal trespassing guilty plea on Thursday, per The Delco Times.
James Lynch, 29, of the 400 block of Railroad Avenue, was arrested Aug. 26, 2013 in Westbrook, Upper Darby, after he allegedly threatened to cut the baby out of his three-month-pregnant ex-lover during an alleged assault at her Gia Circle home.
Lynch was also charged with simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, terroristic threats, burglary, robbery of a motor vehicle, criminal mischief, criminal trespass and harassment.
All those charges, except for criminal trespass, were dismissed under the plea agreement worked out by Assistant District Attorney Matt Ryan and defense counsel Robert Turco, per Delco Times.
Lynch allegedly beat up the victim and dragged her down a flight of stairs before threatening her, police said.
