Anthony Greco, Longtime Whitpain Public Servant, Passes Away
A beloved local man and noted public servant, Anthony Greco, has passed away.

WHITPAIN, PA — A beloved local man and noted public servant in Whitpain Township has passed away.
Anthony Greco, who served the township as Supervisor and in a variety of roles for more than four decades, was 82.
"Tony will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend by all those who knew him," his obituary reads. "He leaves his family an enduring legacy of love and encouragement. Most of all, he will be remembered for his unwavering affection and support, his endearing wit, and his love of hot peppers, in any form and any recipe."

In addition to work as Supervisor, he served on the on the township Planning Commission and Zoning Hearing Board.
He was ringmaster for the annual horse shoe at St. Helena Parish in Blue Bell, and was also extensively involved with the American Legion Post 769 in Ambler.

A native of Mt. Airy, Greco served in the U.S. Naval Reserves and flew in surveillance missions during the Cuban Missile Crisis, according to an obituary shared by the township.
He went on to attend Drexel University, and later created his own steel supply business, TFG Associates.
He is survived by his wife Joan (Murdock) Greco, his daughter Monica Greco, and his two sons, Timothy Greco and Jeffrey Greco.
