Blue Bell Place Honors Residents for Military Service

[Blue Bell, Pa.] –Blue Bell Place, a Watermark Retirement Community, honored 15 residents for their military service during a special Veterans Day pinning ceremony this month. The residents received pins and certificates, and while each individual accepted his honor, a video played about his time in the service, highlighting key memories.

Blue Bell Place Community Life Director Colby Forman, who is also a music therapist, sang patriotic songs and read poetry during the short ceremony, which is open to the entire retirement community and friends and family of Blue Bell Place. Robert Haley of the VNA Hospice of Greater Philadelphia assisted with the ceremony.

“We look forward to honoring our veterans every year through this special ceremony and giving them extra praise for the sacrifices they made to serve and protect our country,” said Blue Bell Place Executive Director Anda Durso. “Our veterans deserve our utmost respect and gratitude on Veterans Day and every day.”
