AMBLER, PA — A bomb threat called in to Wissahickon School District led to schools being shut down to in-person instruction Wednesday.

The high school and middle school both moved to fully virtual instruction as the threats were investigated, the district said in an email to the school community. The district's other schools remained on their regular schedules.

The threat, initially aimed toward the high school, was received via a phone call Wednesday morning. "Additional information" made it unclear if the threat also involved the middle school, so both were shut down.
