Charity Golf Tournament Will Support Alzheimer's Research

The Challenge for Charity golf tournament to support the McKeown Foundation will be held Tuesday, Sept. 2 at Talamore Country Club.

All of the proceeds will go towards Alzheimer’s care, education and research.

“We are so honored to be chosen by ITEX as the recipient of the proceeds from the Challenge for Charity golf tournament,” said Joe McKeown, who co-founded the McKeown Foundation with his family after losing his father William J. McKeown, Jr. to Alzheimer’s in 1991. “This is a beautiful and delightful event for all, and we are so appreciative of the contribution to a cause so dear to us.”

The event features a wide range of individual and group sponsorship packages that include golfing, dining and a variety of extras. The day will start with the golf outing at 11 a.m. with a buffet lunch. At 5:30 p.m., the cocktail reception and silent auction will begin. A buffet dinner and live auction will follow. ITEX will also raffle off a 1971 Mercury Cougar XR7 Show Car whose proceeds will also be donated to the McKeown Foundation.

The 18-hole course is designed for all levels of play.
