
Craig Price, a 30-year veteran of the SEPTA Transit Police, died Jan. 18 following a battle with pneumonia. He was 62.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reports that Price, a frequent volunteer at the Mattie N. Dixon Community Cupboard in Ambler, had been paralyzed since falling down a flight of stairs in October.
Price had retired from the SEPTA police force last year with the rank of sergeant.

According to the Inquirer, he is survived by his wife of 26 years, Denise McMillan Price, as well as his mother, Florence, daughters Saleema Smith and Ebony, a granddaughter, a sister, and a number of nieces and nephews.
