Democratic Mayor Candidate Becomes Ambler Councilman
Frank DeRuosi was appointed by council Tuesday to fill the vacancy in Ward Three left by resigning Council President Tony Isabella.

Frank DeRuosi went from losing Democratic mayor candidate to Ambler councilman.
DeRuosi, who lost the election to Democratic challenger Jeanne Sorg, was appointed Tuesday as the new Ward Three councilman, filling a vacancy left by resigning Council President Tony Isabella.
DeRuosi will fulfill the remainder of Isabella's term. He will be up for re-election in 2015.
Isabella, co-owner of Caffe Maida in Ambler, resigned from council because he took a job with the borough wastewater treatment plant.
Isabella told The Ambler Gazette he was happy to still be involved in borough government.
