GLOBAL GAME JAM AT MCCC
This weekend, Montgomery County Community College will be one of many host sites for the Global Game Jam, an event where, for 48 hours, programmers and gaming enthusiasts from all over the world collaborate to develop new video and non-digital games.
GIRLS OPPORTUNITY FOR LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Girls in grades eight and nine, who are public, private or home-schooled, are invited to the 15th annual Girls Opportunity for Leadership Development event Friday night at Pennbrook Middle School. There will be four workshops, as well as games, crafts, food and music.
LC HARD DRIVE SHREDDING AND ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENT
Lansdale Catholic is offering a hard drive shredding and electronics recycling event Saturday at its 700 Lansdale Avenue location. No large appliances, smoke detectors or rear-projection TVs allowed. $20 fee for computer monitors and TVs and $10 per hard drive.
WINTERBLAST
North Penn Recreation Consortium presents “WinterBlast” at Montgomery Mall Saturday. The event features staged acts, live music, interactive games, arts and crafts, and refreshments.
MADHOUSE THEATER CELEBRATES MCCC TURNING 50
In celebration of Montgomery County Community College turning 50 years old this year, Madhouse Theater Company presents “MCCC Turns 50” on Saturday night. The $20 a ticket comedy show will focus on the college’s inception in the 1960s and roast the events of the decade.
