How Cool Will It Get? A Weather Timeline For A Beautiful Week In Montgomery County

Kids have gone back to school.

On Friday nights, stadiums light up for weekly cross-town and cross-county football rivalries.

And now, finally, the weather is cooling off - perhaps fall is finally making itself apparent.

There are only nine days left in summer, but a beautiful briskness already hit the region on Sunday, and things are expected to stay chilled throughout the week.

The weather is not slated to hit a high above 87 degrees all week long. Temperatures will be in the high 70s or low 80s for the bulk of the week.

Monday, however, looks to be the coolest day, according to the National Weather Service:

Today Sunny, with a high near 75. Northwest wind around 16 mph.

Tonight Clear, with a low around 54. West wind around 6 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Tuesday Sunny, with a high near 82. West wind 3 to 7 mph.

Tuesday Night Clear, with a low around 58. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday Sunny, with a high near 85. Light and variable wind.

Wednesday Night Clear, with a low around 60.

Thursday Sunny, with a high near 86.

Thursday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 61.

Friday Sunny, with a high near 87.

Friday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 64.
