Lower Gwynedd Elementary Collects Meals for Mattie N. Dixon Cupboard
Students collected 80 meals with all the trimmings that will benefit about 100 area families.
The Ambler Gazette reported on Lower Gwynedd Elementary School's success of its third annual Thanksgiving food drive for Mattie N. Dixon Food Cupboard in Ambler Borough.
All in all, 80 full meals--turkeys and all the trimmings--were collected that will benefit about 100 families in the area, per the report.
The food drive was started in 2010 by parent Laila Kennedy and school Principal Nicole West.
