UPPER GWYNEDD, PA — An employee at a Montgomery County home caring for those with special needs accidentally shot a resident in the face, police said.
The employee, 25-year-old Kashaan Moses, was attempting to unload his firearm when his weapon discharged, authorities said. He now faces charges of aggravated assault and related counts, while the severely injured victim is hospitalized.
The incident occurred back on April 10, at around 8:03 a.m., at a Jewish Education Vocation residence on Rosemont Avenue in Upper Gwynedd.

The gunshot hit the victim, a male, just below the left eye, according to authorities.
“In my experience, the more a person claims that he or she is capable of safely retaining, storing, and handling a firearm, the less likely that is to be true," Upper Gwynedd Police Chief David Duffy said. "My heart goes out to the victim and his family. The injuries suffered by the victim are truly horrible and will seriously affect him for the rest of his life."
